LOCATION

Galazopetra Cottage is found in the area of “Pefkias” meaning “pine trees area”. The cottage is located between the pines high up on the hill above Skopelos Town and enjoys lovely views to the village and sea beyond. This quiet natural area is well known for the walking trails and mountain bike possibilitis connecting Skopelos Town to the other side of the island. Approx. 5 km from the cottage is the lovely beach of Limnonari and a bit further the lovely picturesque fishing village of Agnondas.

EXTERIOR

Except for the lovely pool area the cottage has a large front terrace running the lenght of the property. This terrace has breathtaking views of the surrounding hill sides and in the distance the sea and the neighbouring island of Alonissos. At the side of the cottage there is a lovely dining area with stone built BBQ and a large dining table.

INTERIOR

Galazopetra is decorated in a light island style using the charm of the local stones even on the indoor walls. The spacious kitchen/livingroom area has a high open beamed ceiling, fully equipped kitchen, dining table and comfortable sofas next to the fireplace. The cottage has 2 seperate bedrooms  – one with double bed and one with 2 single beds and a nice bathroom with shower and hydro massage. All furnishings and decorations are kept in a light and bright style and this gives the cottage a fresh and airy feel.

Galazopetra Cottage is very suitable for couples looking for a romantic getaway but also for families with children. Due to the climbable railings around the property it is not recommended for smaller children but the bigger ones with certainly enjoy the spacious outdoor areas and the swimming pool.

Entering the property through the beautiful stone built gate you immediately feel the history of this beautiful neoclassical villa, which has been beautifully renovated by the new owners.

From this living area there is access to a large terrace with lovely views to the mountains, town and sea and for an even better view it is possible to go even further up to the roof terrace from where the view is breathtaking towards the town, sea and all the way to the neighbouring island of Alonissos.

A door from the kitchen leads to a separate apartment area with a sitting area with sofa bed, kitchenette and dining table, a beautifully furnished double bedroom with ceiling fan, new bathroom and an open staircase leading up to a master bedroom with A/C, open wood beamed ceiling and plenty of light and a nice new en-suite bathroom.

VILLA LOCATION

Skopelos town is one of the most picturesque villages in Greece. From the ring road leading up and around the village a small road winds it way a bit further up to Villa Mourtia. The altitude ensures that the views from the villa are panoramic and uninterrupted, and yet it is only a few minutes walk to the outskirts of the village and another 5-7 min from there down to the waterfront with all its amenities. The walk up takes slightly longer and you might want to consider a taxi for the return unless you enjoy a steep climb followed by a cooling swim in the pool.

EXTERIOR

The entrance to Villa Mourtia is from the private parking area through a beautiful heavy wooden door, with whitewashed walls and flowerbeds on both sides. Entering the garden area it is obvious that the owner has put a great deal of care and hard work into making a beautiful holiday home for his guests and the combination of grass, stone and flowers makes a lovely environment. The swimming pool is surrounded by wooden sunbeds and umbrellas and the views from the pool area are amazing. At the front of Mourtia Villa is a spacious covered verandah with dining table and chairs – perfect for your morning coffee, a pre-dinner drink or al fresco dining.  At the back of the villa is another smaller garden area – great for soaking up the last afternoon sun. All outdoor areas share the same panoramic views including the village, the surrounding mountains and the sea beyond all the way to the neighbouring island of Alonissos.

INTERIOR

The main entrance of Mourtia leads into the spacious living room with comfortable sofas, TV and CD-player, built fireplace and big panoramic windows inviting the view into the house. The kitchen area is in open-plan with the sitting area and has a spacious dining table and a fully equipped modern kitchen. Again the windows offer lots of light and a lovely view and there is also a second door leading out onto the front terrace of the house for easy access to the outdoor dining area.

Off the kitchen area is a little hallway the leadsto a double bedroom which is very cosy covered in wood and with a small en suite WC/shower room. This bedroom has direct access to the front garden and pool area. Off the hallway is also the main bathroom with bathtub.

From the living room a wooden staircase leads to a small wooden landing. Off the landing is theromantic main bedroom with double bed,  sloping wooden ceiling, wooden walls, TV, dresser and balcony door leading to a lovely little balcony with breathtaking views.

The 3rd bedroom is also on the upper floor and although it does not have any windows it is possible to leave the door open to the little landing and from here to a spacious back terrace. This bedroom also has a double bed and low ceiling giving a cosy atmospheare.

The villa is fully air conditioned except for the 3rd bedroom.

There is also a lovely sitting area at the back of the cottage where many lovely hours are likely to be spent at the BBQ area where dining table and chairs are ready for al fresco dining. The cottage is painted in warm earthen colours giving it a distinct and inticing atmospheare.

At the side of the cottage there is a small garden area and a door leading to the grounds of the second cottage, Pegasus. This door is usually closed, but can be opened in case a larger party would like to rent both cottages and enjoy holidaying together while still having the luxury of a private pool property.

The interior of Kentavros Cottage is also kept in warm island colours which make the experience truly cosy and welcoming.

Krissa Villa is a comfortable 2 bedroomed villa which offers all the luxury of a countryside pool villa while only a few kilometers from the village of Panormos with its tavernas, mini market, cafe’s and several of the best beaches on the island.

LOCATION

Krissa Villa is located down a small track off the main road that runs the length of the island. A short drive or approx. 20 mins walk takes you to the sea side village of Panormos with a choice of tavernas, a mini market and some of the best beaches on the island.

Alternatively Skopelos Town is approx. 20 min drive from the villa and the other main village of the island, Glossa, is approximately 20 min drive in the opposite direction. For keen walkers the area of Mortero is perfect with its numerous paths and dirt tracks in the surrounding hillsides.

This lovely pool villa is located close to the sea side village of Panormos. The villa is comfortably furnished and decorated and offers a lovely private base for your holiday while being only a few minutes drive from the beach and tavernas of Panormos.

VILLA LOCATION  

The seaside village of Panormos on Skopelos’ west coast has a long shingle beach and several smaller beaches with crystal clear waters. Inland from the village, forested valleys rise to hillsides of olive groves, pine, almond, plum and walnut trees with only a few houses hidden within a beautiful natural landscape. Villa Mourtero is set in one of these valleys, surrounded by olive groves and tall pine trees offering peace and privacy.

EXTERIOR

The driveway of Villa Mourtero welcomes you with colourful flower beds and a lovely smell og roses. There is plenty of space to park a car under the olive trees. Around the villa is a large green area  - excellent for children to explore and the spacious terraces offering both sun and shade throughout the day partly thanks to two old proud olive trees.  In front of the living room there is a  big terrace with table and chairs and also sunloungers for total relaxation. From here there is access to the partly fenced pool area should you need to cool off after soaking up the sun. The swimming pool is of course for your exclusive use. It is 7.5 x 3.5 meters and the depth is 1 m deep at the shallow end and 1.9 m at the deep end.

At the side of the villa you will find the little detached BBQ house – equipped with both large BBQ and traditional wood oven and of course dining table and chairs. In front of the BBQ house is plenty of space for table and chairs should you prefer to dine al fresco.

The views from the front terrace and pool area soothes the soul with it’s lush montains and blus sky and the flowers in the garden and the surrounding pine trees give the air a lovely summer scent. Mourtero’s roof terrace has dramatic views over the mountains to the sea and Skiathos beyond and provides a romantic setting to watch the sun set with a theatrical backdrop of pine-covered mountains.

INTERIOR

Entering into the main living area of Villa Mourtero one immediately feels the homey atmospheare. wood-beamed ceilings and cool terracotta floor tiles this villa is built for the owners’ use as wellas the guests’ and so is much more like a home than a rental property. The attention to detail is obvious and the villa is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout.

The main area comprises a full size well equipped kitchen, a large wooden dining table and dish cabinet and open plan living room furnished with comfortable sofas. Sattelite TV, DVD & CD player andthe  fireplace ensure entertainment  indoors while the balcony doors open up onto the terrace with easy access to the pool,  BBQ and dining area.

A door from the living room area leads to the main bedroom which has a iron wrought double bed (140 x 190 cm) and en suite bathroom with corner bathtub and washing machine. Balcony doors from this bedroom open up onto the terrace and the views of the mountains can be enjoyed from the bed.

Off the kitchen is a small hallway leading to the second bedroom which has 2 single iron wrought beds, dresser and double terrace doors. Next to this is the small single bedroom and a shared wc/shower room.

The Hotel:
The back building comprises 6 studios and 2 apartments, equally spread over two floors. Located at the back of the premises, it is surrounded by lawns and gardens and has views of the pool. The front building is surrounded by lawns and gardens and is located beside the main road to Stafilos beach. It comprises 10 studios, equally spread over two floors.

The Pool:
The attractive, ecological freshwater swimming pool is situated between the front and the back building, surrounded by lawns and gardens. It is 12m x 5.50m with a depth of 0.80m – 2m. In addition to the main pool there is a children’s pool (size 3m x 2m – depth 0.50m). A nice feature is the small waterfall made out of big sea pebbles. The pool area is furnished with sun beds and umbrellas and there is a low-key pool bar which serves drinks and snacks.

The Bar:
At the pool side bar guests can enjoy drinks and although there are cooking facilities in all studios and apartments, the bar serves coffee, beverages and snacks.

Maisonette:
Situated own its own at the very end of the plot, the maisonette is surrounded by gardens and trees. A spacious front patio with barbecue, table and chairs under the olive tree is at your disposal. There is also a private terrace on the top floor with mountain views, accessed by an external staircase; ideal for private sunbathing. Entrance leads into the dining room with corner fireplace, TV and dinner table. The kitchen at the back of the room is well equipped with a large fridge, sink, two cooking rings, extractor fan, coffee maker, kettle, toast/sandwich maker and cupboards with all necessary utensils. The bathroom, in this room, is small and has a shower, basin and wc.

Gallery:
The open gallery above the kitchen area can accommodate 3 people. It has a double and a single bed, 2 bedside tables and wardrobe. A nice feature here is the exposed beamed traditional roof. The staircase is a bit steep, as you can see on the photo above.

Main Bedroom:
There is a separate main bedroom on the ground floor, which is quite small. It has space for a double bed, wardrobe, one bedside table and dressing table with mirror. There are also 2 windows looking at the garden and door to the front private patio.

Kitchenettes:
All kitchenettes are equipped with: fridge, sink, two cooking rings, cupboards with utensils.
